This is what I have been told to do
I understand that you're having concern with your both controllers that works fine in the menu, but they are not working in the applications or games. I completely get how important this is for you. Please allow me to look into this.
For us to look further into this, can you please answer the following questions below:
- Can you please confirm if this happens on specific game or app?
- Have you tried to replace the controller battery by a fresh one?
- What is the LED status of your controller? (blinking, solid, or no light at all)
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Hard Reboot the headset
- Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
- If the boot-up sound is not heard:
- Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
- Uninstall and Install the application or game.
If issue still persist, please try performing Factory Reset. What this will do is reset the device to a "like-new" state, wiping all information and data off the device.
Some of this data can be restored by enabling Cloud Backups beforehand; however, keep in mind that while Cloud Backup is available to all Meta Quest developers, it is up to developers to decide whether to enable this feature for their app and what data is backed up. You can find which installed apps have Cloud Backups enabled on the Cloud Backups page of your Meta account profile.
Once you have set up Cloud Backups, ensure your device is fully charged, then proceed with the directions found in the Meta Store Help Center.
To perform Factory Reset:
- Turn off your headset.
- Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
