headset refusing to connect to controller

im just genuinely confused on how this happened but basically one day i decided to play some vr after not playing for a couple of months and it was all running fine and so i tried to play again the next day and the controller just had a constant buzzing every 5 seconds or so and i tried to pair them through the app and every time i went to search for a nearby controller it said “headset disconnected” and stopped searching and so i talked to a oculus tech assistant and we went through all the steps until it came to the last one which was a factory reset and i did it and it still isnt working i would like to know if this is something i have to bring into the shop or something i can fix now with meta support.

  • I'm no expert but it sounds like one of the trigger mechanisms might be stuck. You might need a replacement. In the meantime, if you haven't tried it, sure you have, but just in case, change the batteries and try again. You mentioned just one controller having the issue, is that right ? If so, and nothing fixes it, it's broken.

  • Ehm I think that could be the battery low indication... Did you check the battery in the controllers?
