[HELP] Quest 2 only connecting as USB 2.0 — Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6
Hey everyone,
I’m having trouble getting my Quest 2 to connect via USB 3.0 on my laptop.
Here’s my setup:
Laptop specs:
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6
Intel i5-11300H
RTX 3050 (laptop GPU)
16 GB RAM
Windows 11
The issue:
When I connect the Quest 2 using a USB-C cable (the one I got from the seller), it only connects as USB 2.0 (High-Speed) instead of USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed).
I checked this using USB Device Tree Viewer, and here’s what it shows:
The headset itself supports USB 3.0, but the connection never reaches SuperSpeed.
I tried multiple cables (including ones from phone/tablet), but still the same result.
Is this a known issue with this Lenovo laptop model? (USB-C port not fully wired for data?)
Any help or advice would be much appreciated — I don’t want to waste money if the port is physically limited.
Thanks in advance!
