HELP with Quest Link

Hey guys. I have the Quest 3. I use it on my PC for VR racing and I want to connect it to Meta Link. It's been working fine before, but with new updates, it suddenly just stopped working. I tried re-installing the app on my PC, also tried enabling public test channel, but every time I try to add new device it would open another window and when I hit "Continue", it doesn't do anything and it just goes back to Home. Before the re-install, I was able to pick which device I had, but it can't recognize the device as connect even though I can hear the device connecting when the USB is plugged in. Please help. I don't know what else I am missing. TIA.

    Hey there ae981s!

     

    We came across your post and wanted to lend a helping hand to get you racing back into the PCVR Metaverse!

     

    Firstly, please ensure that your Quest is updated to the most recent software version. An easy way to update your software is by using our Software Update Tool!

     

    Next, make sure that you are using an official Link cable, and try using a different USB port.

     

    Also, please check that, after updating your Quest, Link is still enabled on your headset. To turn off or check the status of Link functionality:

    1. Press Meta button/ Oculus button on your controller to open the universal menu.
    2. Select the clock on the left-hand side of the universal menu to open Quick settings.
    3. Select  Settings in the top right, then select  Link.
    4. Select the toggle next to Link to enable or disable Link.

    If you think that this issue is a result of the update you performed on your Quest, we kindly ask you to submit a bug report so that our engineers can get to the bottom of this issue ASAP!

     

    If the above steps don't work, try rebooting your Quest and following these steps.   • I have the same problems winth the link software  after update to V83  and Metahorizon link 
    as soon as you choose link the software crashes in to a black screen 
    and you have to restart the set 
    i am using cable for simracing 
    i can race wirelessly if i bijpass the whole meta using Virtual desktop

      Thanks for this info. I'll probably try this and just by pass Meta Link so I could continue with my simracing.
