I don’t want to get scammed

I recently received an email from meta asking to pay a refundable $1 charge to verify my age, but i didn't know if it was real. The email came from a do not reply email.meta.com is this email real or fake?

  • It's genuine. They charge $0.99 to your credit card. It takes up to 3 working days for the bank to verify, then the amount gets refunded. I had to do this when setting up parental controls through the Family Center.

  • steve_40 Ahh Steve, you ruined it all. I was going to ask him to send me $5 and I'll investigate it for him. 😜

Darn. We could have put the money into the Asgard's Wrath 3 development studio fund 😜.
