You said you switched to air link..... is it still enabled??
Cable link won't work if air link is enabled, you must toggle it off in the link pop up from headset.

If you haven't already, try unplugging and reconnecting the cable from the PC.
You can also try unplugging and reconnecting the cable from the headset...... don't ask me why, but sometimes it makes a difference which end of the wire gets unplugged.š
