Whenever I'm playing a game like blade and sorcery, every time I go to swing a punch or a weapon my controller disconnects for a second, vibrates, then reconnects. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, unpairing and re-pairing, etc.
Your battery is loose. I'm guessing you're using a rechargeable one, they are slightly smaller than regular batteries. Also, the spring-loaded battery contact in the controller might be jammed, making the battery even looser. Put a small, folded piece of aluminium foil between the contact and the battery.

When I get back to my oculus I'll still try out the stuff you mentioned just in case that's still the problem somehow
