This usually means the controller firmware didn’t actually finish flashing, even though it says “100%”.
Try this:
- Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes
- Put in a fresh battery (brand new, not rechargeable if possible)
- Open the Meta app → Devices → Remove controller completely
- Reboot the headset
- Pair the controller again from scratch
If it still shows blank firmware and won’t power on, it’s likely a failed firmware flash, and you’ll need to contact Meta Support directly
