Left remote not pairing/Stuck on pairing screen

my remotes have been disconnecting on and off since I bought the game. However, just recently a few weeks ago the left was off more than on. After troubleshooting, it stopped blinking lights and not pairing at all. Now, I’m stuck on pair screen on headset. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks except get a new remote because it seems to be a software glitch with Meta, as it couldn’t be hardware, I’ve done absolutely nothing to them also the right was doing it. Now the right has remained paired but the left will not at all. Is there a way to get out of the pairing screen after hard reset, without another remote? All forums seem to not be able to fix it and customer support was no help and just wants me to purchase another remote.

  • Hi Spiderjjax 🙂

Unfortunately, you'll need both controllers to complete the set up.

If you have a friend with a Quest, you can borrow his left controller to finish your set up.

But of course...... your controlle still isn't working then, so this actually not a satisfying solution.🙁

    Hey Spiderjjax,

We hear you're having some problems with your controllers not keeping their connection to your headset and periodically turning off, that's of course not something we want your experience within the Metaverse to entail, so let's see if we can get this fixed for you.

Now as Choleni has already mentioned, you can't get past the pairing screen without a second controller, however there are a few things that you can try out to get your controllers working again.

The first step would be removing unsupported third-party accessories that may affect the power, battery fit or detection of your controllers, for example rechargeable grips, controller cover, etc.

Another thing we'd recommend is changing the battery of your controller to a new one, as temporary loss of power in the controller can be a sign of the battery getting very low on charge, potentially even trying a different brand of battery to see if there's any problem with the current one.

If there are still no LED's showing even after trying a new battery, then please let us know and we'll take a more in depth look into this problem for you.

We hope to see you back in the Metaverse soon!

The lights are back on. I’ve tried all the above no third party anything. Still not connecting. Spoke to your customer service and troubleshooted some more for 2 days and the only thing offered was a replacement remote but I’d have to pay for it. I’m not sure why if it seems to be software issue, I didn’t break it, and it was connecting intermittently until I performed the troubleshooting steps with you guys, now it’s stuck on the pairing screen. It will not connect at all.

The lights are on. It’s just not pairing after troubleshooting with you guys. I did try and contact you. No help.
