Can anyone help? I have tried all ways to log into my meta quest, when I switch it on it gives me a code and when I type it in online it says incorrect. I have tried restarting and different codes. I have downloaded the app to try and pair to my phone and it suggests entering a code from the meta screen however there’s no code there. I have logged in online through Facebook and I think the email address may be the issue as I have a previous account with this email, I’m unsure how to create a new one on the head set itself as I can’t get anything on the screen apart from 8 digit code
Hi, So, in the headset setup screen, you can't create a new Meta account, but you can on your other device through the app or Meta's website. If the code doesn't work, try resetting the headset (ik that everyone says it, but still give it a try, you need to do it with the recovery menu by holding the Power and Volume Down buttons till the recovery screen appears, then navigate to Factory reset with the volume buttons and confirm with the power button). I tried to find an Oculus Go (which I don't have), and it still found one... so it may be a glitch too. If that doesn't work, then try and set it up with MQDH (Meta Quest Developer Hub), you will need a Meta Quest Developer account (you can create it on https://developers.meta.com/horizon/manage/ ) and the MQDH PC app (available on https://developers.meta.com/horizon/downloads/package/oculus-developer-hub-win ) and then after logging in, go to the Device Manager tab and click on SetUp New Device and follow the setps shown on the screen.
I must warn you, tho, that this is an app for developers, and after you set your headset up, you will have access to the developer functions. If you don't know what they mean, you can either research them or let them be like they are.
