Meta Link Setup download stucks !

Everything was OK until two days ago. I was able to use air link and my headset without any problem. But suddenly air link was crashed and after that Meta Quest Link software in my PC did not work. First, I tried to restart my PC and headset, but nothing changed. Then I decided to repair the app. The app was completely removed and the download started from scratch. But the download stops when it reaches 2.14 GB. I tried many times but no success. I disabled antivirus apps, deleted all the files related Oculus, restarted modem... But nothing changed, every time it stops at 2.14 GB and says check connection. I have internet connection.

Below you can see my setup log.

  • I saw in the forum, many people solved the issue by using VPN connection. But in Türkiye, I could not use any of them, because most of the VPNs are restricted to use. Instead, I used "Cloudflare WARP" and then successfully downloaded the app. First try using Cloudflare WARP, if you can't download it, then try using both Cloudflare and Goodbyedpi(get it from github).

Is this a Meta issue? I'm having the same problem right now.

  • All I can say from myself to everyone VPN or any other sort of software won't work since the new updates from Meta have been causing a lot of issues and it won't fix it until they will start working on the Meta Quest Link app to be honest so if anything or so I will reach out privately to Meta admins if I will find solution I will share with everyone we need to for now live with that I can understand that some people have bad connection with internet but if someone has good connection I would recommend to go with alternatives like Virtual Desktop or either Steam link that is available in the quest store on VR

I get home today and gear up for some sim racing and happen not gonna. I was starting to think it was a problem on my end until I came across you folks fighting the same issues while trying to fix it. Going to keep an eye on this to see if any of you alert us when it is fixed. Thank you all.

I've got the same problem and have been in contact with Meta support, but nothing they suggest works. From what I can gather, the issue appears to revolve around the programme's inability to delete a .dll file (NativeDaybreak.dll). I've tried elevating access permissions to it during the install, using a VPN, not using a VPN, doing a clean install, deleting all the files left over after the last failed install, disabling virus protection and a few other things but none of them work. Meta support have been trying hard but it's a little frustrating when you get the same advice again and again from them which they should know you have tried by reading the email thread.

  • Same issue here since yesterday. I've tried using a couple different VPNs and Cloudflare WARP but sadly, nothing seems to work...

  • Since this thread has already been "solved", maybe it's better to open a new one?

I made a post a couple/few days ago and just wanted to leave an update, all is working well on my end now, and I hope the same goes for you folks. Oh, the only thing I have noticed is that sometimes it takes a bit for the link UI to load, but once it does all is well. I should also add I am not running a VPN to get it to work or doing anything special, it just started working.  Thank you all for posting and GL.
