Meta Quest 3s can’t connect to app

Meta Quest 3s worst device I ever purchased. Can’t connect device to app, did all the troubleshooting tips besides with Pc cause I don’t have one and that’s unfair to the customers who don’t have one cause now we out of 300 plus dollars. If the issue is a software issue regardless of warranty or not Meta should be able to fix it cause this is happening on their end. I’m a very dissatisfied customer and I’m looking into a class action lawsuit. Too many customers are experiencing the same issue with no solution. I dislike wasting my money especially when I work very hard to get the device for it to stop working on Meta part not mine. I’m highly disappointed, upset, frustrated and exhausted with this experience with this product.

I get the frustration, but this usually isn’t a permanent hardware failure.

If your Quest 3S won’t connect to the Meta app, try this (no PC required):

    • Uninstall and reinstall the Meta Horizon app on your phone
    • Make sure Bluetooth + Location permissions are enabled
    • Log out of the app and log back in
    • Restart both your phone and the headset
    • Try pairing on a different Wi-Fi network (even a hotspot)

If it still won’t pair after that, contact Meta Support directly through the web form, they can re-provision or replace devices even outside the app.

It’s very unlikely the headset is permanently “dead.” Most pairing issues are account/app handshake problems.

Don't worry, this is an amazing device with an amazing community, so I hope you can find an answer to your issues!

Thanks for the comment. I have tried all of that to the point meta support had me factory reset now I can’t get past that screen that gives the 5 digit code due to my controllers not being able to connect and I can’t connect through the app.

After factory resetting, the controller setup page will ask you to pull out the plastic tabs from the controllers. Is that where you are stuck? Assuming you have pulled out the tabs previously, you have to wait about 10 minutes and the "pull out the tabs" screen will time out and you can then continue setting up the controllers.

It's not clear if you are trying to set up the headset using a mobile phone or PC, but I'll just emphasise that it must be done using the mobile phone, not a PC (some people try to use a PC instead, so of course the headset won't pair).

The other recommendation is to try setting up the headset using a different mobile phone. That fixes the pairing problem most of the time.

If you are still stuck unable to pair, if the headset is new, I would recommend returning it to where you bought it from for an exchange or refund.
