Meta Quest 3s not showing up in Meta Quest Link "Select Your Headset" menu

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my Meta Quest 3s to my PC using Meta Quest Link. However, I'm facing the following issues:

 

When I go to Devices > Add Headset, the Quest 3s does not appear in the "Select Your Headset" list.

 

If I choose Quest 3 instead and proceed with the normal setup steps, the connection does work, and I can use Link.

 

However, even after successful connection, the headset does not appear under the Devices tab.

 

I have tried both Link (USB) and Air Link (wireless), but the result is the same in both cases.

 

My Meta Quest Link app version is 78.0.0.988.310.

 

 

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Quest 3s? Is there an update or workaround available to properly detect the headset?

  • Did you ever figure out how to fix the missing options problem in the "Add Device" listings?
    My wife and I are having the same problem on one of my computers, my computer shows all the devices, but my laptop is missing the 3S models

      1. Make sure everything is up to date.

       

      2. Repair the Meta Horizons application.

       

      3. reboot your laptop.

  • If you haven't already, I think you might have to first connect your Quest 3s to the MetaHorizon app on your mobile phone.

      steve_40​  No, I don't think so.

      The link app shows all compatible headsets - at least it should do that - regardless whether or not you even have a headset.

    I really appreciate you taking the time to help. I'll try the repair option as you suggested and see if that makes any difference.

     

    Fingers crossed on my end too .

    Will report back after I try it!

  • fact1023​   try to repair the app... maybe something went wrong when you installed it.

    Download the link app again and start it.

    It will tell you that it is already installed and give you the option to repair.

    Do that..... hopefully all headsets are shown up then.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed🤞

    you know, that you can scroll through the headsets on the add headset screen?

    If it still not visible after scrolling, you can enable PTC on the link app. 

    It will update the pc app to v79. I just checked it....in that version Quest 3s is defintively in the list.

      Yes, I did scroll through the headset list on the "Select Your Headset" screen. The following options appear in order:

       

      Quest 3

      Quest Pro

      Quest 2

      Quest

      (After scrolling)

      Quest

      Rift S

      Rift

      Unfortunately, Quest 3s still doesn't appear in the list, even after enabling PTC and updating the Meta Quest Link app to version 79.0.0.1094.381.

      I also tried reinstalling the Link app, but the situation remains the same.

       

      Is there anything else I should try?

        I have the same version.... for me it looks like this

        I have no idea what's going on🤔
