Meta Quest Link latency

Hi, I am experiencing latency on my controllers via link. I'm assuming this is linked to some gpu setting being on and was wondering if anyone knows some tweaks to fix this?

  • ziggymc What are your PC specs mate (CPU/GPU, win10/11)?  Pretty hard to suggest anything if you don't at least include these imho.  Cheers.

I5-10300H, RTX 3050 (laptop), windows 11 home. I didn’t have any problems before could run 90 frames and 1080p smoothly and then something happened and now 72 frames with some controller delay

Controller latency over Link is usually GPU/encode related, not the controllers themselves.

    Try this:

    • In the Meta PC app → Graphics, lower the refresh rate and render resolution
    • Update (or roll back) GPU drivers
    • Make sure you’re plugged into a USB 3.0 port directly on the motherboard

If the delay only happens in Link and not standalone, it’s almost always GPU encoding or USB bandwidth, not tracking.

I have the refresh rate at 72 Hz the lowest and it is better. Is there any gpu setting I need to turn off to get less latency on the controllers?

No. What is your Encode Bitrate in Link? If you are using a USB cable Link connection, Encode Bitrates of around 650 Mbps and higher cause increasing latency. You can use the Oculus Debug Tool to set or limit your max Encode Bitrate.
