Meta quest phone app issue

So my brother gave me his meta quest 2 headset yesterday and i tried pairing the headset to my phone but when i got to the choose what headset to pair.. it wouldn't let me scroll down to click on the headset i have. i uninstalled the app and cleared the cache but no luck. so i decided to try and do it by my computer and plugged in my usb C to a usb port on my computer and into the headset but no luck.
i have no idea what to do since this is my first headset of any kind of VR and ive been desperately trying to get it paired so i can experience VR for the first time

can anyone possibly offer some kind of assistance?
