Meta Quest Remote Desktop won´t start on Windows 11 Pro

There's a few simpler options we would first like to suggest before trying to run the app again:

1. Restart the PC

2. Run the application as administrator

3. Disable firewall

4. Uninstall and re-install the application itself

Also, there's a small chance the application may not be compatible with the screen resolution of your monitor. If applicable to you, we suggest trying a lower resolution of 1080p before opening again.

If you've attempted some or all of the above, please keep us in the loop if any of these fix the issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue with Meta Quest Remote Desktop not starting on Windows 11 Pro. I tried uninstalling the 'Meta Virtual Monitor' device in Windows Device Manager as suggested, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the problem for me. Has anyone else found a working solution or fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Same for me. (Mini PC, Win 11 pro, username with "á" and "š") But idk, I changed my username in PC and also I changed username in my MS account. Still doesnt work. Instead on my old PC it works good with Win 10 and some random username. 

Edit: After last Windows update, it is finaly working. Playing games this way is kinda lagging so far. I bought externat USB Wifi adapter with hotspot. I hope it is gonna be better

Edit: Even with hotspot game is laggy or maybe Im doing something wrong

I have the same problem and I got in touch with support. 

I've tried reinstalling and nothing changes... so I guess I'll have to wait for the next update of Remote Desktop..

This is what they said :

It may also seem that it could be related to a bug in our most recent update:

I would recommend filling out a bug report through the applications developers.

I have also discovered you are missing the following Oculus driver:
"oculusudsvr"

To get this driver please reinstall the Oculus application on your computer.

I say yes and agree, and it just loops. I have tried everything, including updating headset, removing virtual monitor and about 100 different other things. This is a BAD JOKE!

Have you tried the previously mentioned solution posted by tobias.kutning involving removing the "Meta Virtual Monitor" Device in Windows Device Manager?

For everyone still experiencing this issue that hasn't found a solution, I can look at getting it raised with the engineers 🛠 

I can see on the store page it has listed compatibility for Windows 10 and 11 but it has no mention of Pro. It is possible that Pro may not be fully supported/patched for but I'll leave that to the Meta tech overlords to confirm 🧠
