Yeo, new version, lol!...
Quest v83
Build: 5156385.13680.520 (NON BETA)
Meta Horizon Link version:
83.0.0.311.349 (NON BETA) The app running on the PC side.
DO NOT WORK! (at higher than around 550mbits using USB Link)
I am now DOWN grading to v81 again, I hope that v81 on Quest works with v83 on desktop
Let's see
PD: So at this very moment... EVERYONE that has a Quest headset updated to v83 (beta or not) it has this awful problem, insane. How nobody check it the problem as a BETA state and fixed BEFORE going to official release version?, insane.
PD2: I'll test the BETAS available today, on Quest side and Desktop side, maybe the new betas fix something? let's
UPDATE:
More "good news" ... I can't update the Meta Desktop to Beta version now, I've tried twice... You just put the "Public channel" ON ... starting the update, then the app exit automatically, and nothing happen, and the app it's gone, as if was uninstalled. I've installed again, everything fine with the no beta, I did again the same... Public channel ON ... same results, there is no way to change to any beta version in Meta Desktop App now. GREAT
So I can't test the beta desktop, and on the Quest side I've turned ON the option to get beta version, no message to get the update yet, and I don't know WHEN I'll get it ... So, forget it, I am going back to v81 for now.
UPDATE 2:
Ok, it seems that the problem comes from the v83 in the DESKTOP app, not from the firmware version on Quest, no matter what version of Quest (v81 or v83) you have, everything was working fine with v81 on desktop app, after the update on desktop app to v83 (beta or not), no matter what version you use on Quest, the problem of bitrate working limit it's there, the sad part ... there is no way (that I know of) to DOWNGRADE the Desktop app to v81. If someone knows how, please let us know, thanks. I am stuck with v83 on Desktop app, so I have the problem until META decide to fix the problem.
