Metas official link cable labelled as USB 2

Question

i have been struggling with an issue with my connection using link the connection shows a weak USB 2 even though i use the official meta cable and my pc is capable of supporting USB 3.

I have tried to change the positioning of the cable into different UCB 3 cable ports. in addition i have restarted the USB 3 Drivers, the pc, the quest 3 and the meta link app . i am at a dead end and don't know how i could improve the connection.

please if you know what could be the issue i could use the pointers or even hands on support "wink wink"

Meta sell a white cable, that's a charging USB 2 cable. https://www.meta.com/au/quest/accessories/1m-charging-cable/
There are unofficial white link cables from companies like Kiwi Design, any of these are risky. I've bought cables from Amazon that are supposed to be Quest compatible but they frequently failed (they weren't active cables, which is required for 16ft usb lengths).

When you say official link cable, do you mean the separate purchase 5m fibreoptic cable, or the cable that comes with the Quest 3?
The cable that comes with all of the Quest headset series is only USB2, it's made for charging and simple data transfer, not PCVR.

"mistakes and lies where written here before edit". the cable i used was unofficial but even with the black official one i have here its still doesn't work.
