No audio in quest 3 when connected to Quest Link app (Solution)

Hi there, I recently had this problem, no audio in the device (Quest 3) when connected to pc with Link cable and the Link software running.

Simple fix for me: First enable Oculus virtual audio device as the sound output in windows, then open the Nahimic Companion app on your pc > settings > remove optimisations.

This immediately fixed it for me, if you’re not using Nahimic audio then this probably won’t be much help. But if you are then I hope it helps.
