I don't get any sound when casting regardless of which device I cast to. TV, PC, or mobile app, all the same. Actually, I do hear sound when casting to the mobile app, but I can't get the sound to play through a connected speaker (bluetooth or otherwise), so it doesn't really matter. When casting to PC on oculus.com/casting, there's no sound at all. AirPlay to TV is the same.

I have the same issue. I have casted to my iPad have casted to my Samsung ultra and I cannot hear audio specifically my voice usually I can hear background sounds like when you enter a world or whatever I've unclicked mute on my watch thing virtually and even in the settings by the clock I cannot get sound no matter what I do when I tried to cast to my television I only heard background sound no video I mean this thing is a disaster

Yes, I'm casting to a third device, like this: Quest 3 -> iPhone -> screen mirror/airplay to TV.
Thank you for the clarification. Let's get this ball rolling so you can get to casting! Are you able to cast directly to the TV or PC? While not directly stated in our Casting and Troubleshooting articles, the set up only involves 2 devices. The Meta Quest and the device being casted to. Chromecast and oculus.com/casting are the only casting options listed. Can we give these a shot going directly to a device? Please let us know if these work for you of if you require additional help.

Casted many apps. No sound.
I'm going right now to test to connect to my phone and my tv...
Phone and Quest 3 are connected via Wifi to the same network, and tv via ethernet.

Hi, I'm having the same issue: Casting from headset to Meta Quest app on my Pixel 6 Pro, then trying to relay that to Twitch by letting Twitch capture and stream the Meta Quest app.
Casting from the headset to the Quest app works fine, but the audio plays on the phone channel, not on the media channel. This was confirmed by adjusting the Android volume setting while casting: Two volume sliders appear, one for media "🎵" and one for phone "📞"; the cast volume is controlled by the phone slider, not the media slider.
Most phone games emit their game audio to the media channel, and that's what Twitch captures. Streaming apps avoid capturing the phone channel, as it is used by real calls and has privacy implications. The Meta Quest app should align with this and play its audio on the media channel.

We would like to let you know that if you're using the Twitch mobile application to mirror your cast game, it's highly possible the audio is not being captured. I literally just gotten my meta 3s Same problem with this user on the top of the page I can't hear sound through my phone when I cast but I can hear through my pc Is it bug or something bc my meta 2 my old vr which is meta 2 I can hear sound I just upgraded to 3s please let me know sooner or later
im having this issue as well. it looks like i can screen cast youtube and other things to my roku tv with no problem, but when i try screen casting through meta app, there's no sound. it looks like the main issue why there no sound coming through the tv is because meta app itself couldn't screen cast the sound???

Hey I've also received this issue, i've tried phone and laptop with no audio, i normally stream using the meta app on laptop and casting it that way - updated | Wifi has been secured and checked | it normally does work since of my previous streams and it stopped last week i just tried today with no luck
Turn the Bluetooth off on your quest and sound should be casted. 👍
