November 2025: Solving Quest 1 Android installation issue after a factory reset.

Yesterday, I did factory reset my Quest 1, and after that I wasn't able to go through the installation process on my phone with android Meta Horizon, with the last application installed, 343.0.0.11.106. Stuck after everything else went fine, on the security page, and this happend on three different Android devices.

After research, I tried an older one Android application, 276.1.0.22.109 v8, here on apkmirror, and it worked, I found the link here, thanks to Ardes_.

Several time you'll have to use the Ignore button regarding your obsolete version, but at least it'll go through the all process, means the security video will at the end make a button appear, and your Quest will be fully installed.

The issue on the last app is that the video on the security section don't seem to send info to highlight one text line after one another on the page, and after the last one a button should appear, at least it does on the older Android app. I may think that's a problem with how is used the video as there's video commands on the video that shouldn't be accessible on the security section.
