Oculus app stuck on “pairing your quest 2” screen

1st go to your meta app on ur phone and delete it.

Next go to ur bluetooth devices on ur phone and delete ur meta headset. If u dont see it delete any headset u dont recognize.

Next go to your meta account on PC, log in and delete your device from the devices section.

Turn ur headset off and factory reset by holding power on and volume down. When the menu comes up factory reset. 

Once reset MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BOTH CONTROLLERS WITH YOU AS THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM. 

Turn headset on and follow all setup prompts, you will notice now having both controllers there are more options/a more detailed setup. Once done youll see a pairing code again but the screen will look diff than when u were stuck. 

Download the app on ur phone, it should auto connect, if it doesnt give it a minute or 2 as mine took a minute.

Then somewhere near headset settings or in headset settings on the app it should say "continue setup" thats how i got mine to work and finish pairing.

Yours might just say pair and itll work clicking that but mine set up fine after many many tries doing it how i just mentioned. 

Good luck and dont rely on meta for any solid help. Telling u to connect to same wifi meanwhile the headset is in pairing mode and without both controllers u cant even connect to wifi.

Shout out to the person in the comments who mentioned needing both controllers as that essentially helped me figure this out. 

I gave up a long time ago. That headset is still sitting in a drawer. I bought a used headset to replace it. Maybe one day I'll try again if I get my hands on a cheap used set of controllers to use with it, but the lack of support from Microsoft was pathetic. 

I bought a used quest 2 and experienced the same issue until I received the second controller from the previous owner.  I initially got the headset and right controller because the left controller couldn't be located at that time.  Having both original controllers worked for me.

Unpairing and repairing both controllers work for me. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THE SUPPORT REPLIES IT'S GARBAGE

I have solve this problem. It took a while to figure it out but the answer to the problem is in the application. Once you’re stuck on the screen, go to the app where are you? Device should stay connected even though you can’t do anything. Go down to the device and click on its settings go to the controllers and him pair them. It will give you some warnings but just do it anyway then repair your controllers from the app. Once you do that the stuck screen will go away. It takes a little bit play with it you’ll get it you’re welcome Ken

Guys someone finaly got to a point that passes the first bootup screen pairing STUCK, this may help EVERYONE on this section, it consist on pairing with a windows pc software from he Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH)

I have had the same problem,I did a live chat with meta and they didn’t even try fixing it 

they are sending me a replacement headset even though I’ve had the quest for about 18 months

You have to activate and pair both controllers. This was stopping me, i just used one. I couldn't understand what was wrong. It's waiting for both controllers to pair.

This is not working for me. I turned on and off. Internet is fine but it won't pair. I have an iphone 7s and works fine with my Oculus Quest 1 and won't recognize the 2. Please help.
