Oculus meta quest pro controller issue! (Solved ✅ )

Where to start… so for about 6months or so or maybe a year I haven’t touched my oculus quest 2. So I decided to see if I would be able to play it but everything was dead so I wait fully charged everything and reset the pairing on them , and updated the latest update on the oculus quest 2 but the controllers are having issue on updating . I’ve factory rested the quest and done hard rest on controllers they are paired to the quest but it’s not letting me use them or track them just only my hands, I don’t know what else to do I’ve tried every trick in the book , are they done for now after barely using them ???

Hey there ImPicklerick04! We heard you were having some controller woes and thought we'd drop in to lend a hand!

We don't like to hear you're having controller issues, but luckily there's a few things we can try to get these working for you again.

    1. Make sure the play area is suitable and free of anything that may interfere with tracking

    2. Check the area is well lit, with enough light to see clearly, but no direct sunlight

    - Check the area is free of small lights such as Christmas lights, or LED strips

    - Check the area is free of reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or polished marble

    - Make sure there are no obstructions between the tracking cameras and the controllers

    3. Make sure the tracking cameras are clean. If they need to be cleaned, follow the maintenance and care guidelines

    - Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or controller detection. For example: controller and headset covers, controller attachments, etc.

    4. Check the batteries

    - Remove the battery from the controller for 30 seconds

    - Try replacing the battery with a new one

    7. Unpair and pair the controller to the headset

    8. As a last resort, factory reset the headset.

We know that's a bit of a wall of text, and that you've probably already tried these steps, but any information (including if a step doesn't work!)  helps us narrow down what the issue is.

If you've followed all these steps and there's still no luck, then we'd really recommend you reach out to us via PM here on the forums, or to our Support Team via email.

    We hope this helps!

I have a secure setup space and well lighting , no leds in the room , no sun rays shining in the room and headset camera and controllers cameras are cleaned. Controllers are fully charged have them a 24hr time span to be sure at 100% capacity for everything. Repaired the controllers and still not updating them just stuck on warning ⚠️ controller updating with no percentage showing up . Doing a final reset factory for the headset right now and see if this will work again. While this is erasing everything and clearing I am disconnecting the controllers as well.

Now this is day 5 I’ve left my headset on charger while it being on and the controllers on don’t disconnect the controllers or do anything to the headset just let it do it thing let it run and now I can proudly say that the controllers finally decided to do the update for the controllers for the headset to recognize and show the controllers
