Oculus Quest 2 usability

I just bought an Oculus Quest 2 from a thrift store, but am now second guessing. The pairing app shows two quest options to pair that are always grayed out, and nothing happens after that. Does this piece of hardware have any usability at this point? or is it now just a really cool pair of shades?

It's gone, my access to the dash has been wholeheartedly denied, maybe next time.

I'm not going anywhere or trying to get anyone else involved. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but there is a virtual environment and a dome plain tutorial environment that it goes in and out of. I was able to establish a network connection and submit an error report from the device I have. The phone app I have access to could use a compatibility update. I know what I'm missing but the way to get in has some objectives.

Hey folks, thanks for the follow up. I have until tuesday to figure this out. Transferring someone else's partial is what I feel like I'm setting myself up for. I have the in great condition headset, headband add on, and the workable controllers. Booting the headset displays Meta Horizon OS. That's all it took to get me really excited. The problem seems to be with the Horizon app, not allowing new console activations. I see Meta Quest 3S black Xbox edition, and white Meta Quest 3S, and are both grayed out, and non scrollable. Permissions are probably not, but are enabled. I made it to the pair phone screen on the headset smooth as can be, but the phone app just doesn't detect.

unanima Strange, I can scroll though the headsets and select the one I want to pair.🤔

Log out from the phone app, uninstall/reinstall the app and log back in again and see if that helps.

If not, try using a different phone or tablet. If you use an Android phone, maybe try it with an iphone and vice versa. Maybe you can borrow a different phone for a few minutes from a friend or family member..... it's just for the set up. Afterwards you can use your phone.

I'm using a new meta account and a newly installed phone app on a compatible phone and the only thing I can pair over here is a 3s. Horizon Central is the environment, and I get a phone app code or an organization code for a website to be used here,

It might be a disabled headset, possibly reported lost or stolen. Or maybe not.... NJust to be sure, that you installed the Horizon app on your phone.? You can't set it up using the pc, has to be the phone.  Just curious, did you get the controllers with it?
