Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. I've been working with the engineering teams trying to get a solution for this issue. HOWEVER, I do want to let you know I've been passing as much information as I can to the them, as well as the workaround that was provided by @8aron. If your issue has been resolved with their method, I advise other users to try this as well. If you're worried about having to do it for every update, I confirmed with the teams, and they told me you can turn off automatic updates for your Rift device. All you need to do is follow the steps below:

Go to Settings > Developer > Allow Automatic Meta Quest Link Software Updates > Toggle Off.

After doing this and following the workaround, you shouldn't have to worry about your headset needing to be updated.

I've also been asking teams for an official solution from them regarding this issue. I'm not sure when they will be able to get back to me with additional progress updates. Since there is only so much information that I can relay from here on the forums to them. I strongly recommend continuing to submit bug reports and be as detailed as possible with the reports. Even if you think the information that you provide for them might not mean much, any detail that they're given can be of great help to them. I hope this information helps!

Ok, in my Downloads folder I had an old OculusSetup.exe from June 2023. I ran that to start the install. PC downloaded 2.13 gigs after I ran the old installer. Went through setup again, tutorial, etc. Now I have my controllers back in Walkabout. I double checked that file mentioned earlier by another person, LibOVRRTImpl64_1.dll. I checked the version and it now begins with 65. instead of 66. So, the other user is definitely onto something. Hopefully Meta will investigate and fix it.

I come across this question a lot but none of them are answered or if they are the answer doesn't work for me.

As the title says, when I play Beat Saber there's zero vibrations, when I open the oculus dash and hover over the buttons there is vibration again. My pc has more than sufficient specs just in case anyone will ask.

Tried:

-vrmode oculus (put that both in steam library and in the meta library if that makes a difference)
Reinstalling the meta app and disconnecting and then pairing the devices, also leaving/joining the beta
Used a powered usb hub and tried other usb ports
Tried it on windows 10, I'm on 11, 10 didn't work either
Reinstalling the game
Updating chipset drivers and GPU drivers
Replacing batteries multiple times, even bought new ones just to be sure and no difference
Checking if vibration is enabled in game, it is

So as you can see I tried basically everything I could find about this problem and no luck... I'm really determined to make this work so I hope there's someone with a solution that works for me! And I will share it with others that face this issue if there's something that turns out to work for me as there are many more people in the same boat as me sadly...

Has Beat Saber ever had controller haptics in the past? When did this issue begin?

Where was this game purchased and downloaded from?

Is this the only game missing haptics/vibrations of your Rift S?

Is the Home Environment having any issues?

  For me, no, but I'm quite new to vr. A lot of people seem to mention it stopped out of nowhere however

  I'm not 100% sure, but I can confirm the vibration at least works on the vr dashboard. If there's a free game that has haptics I'm willing to test though. A lot of people seem to say there's only a few games that have this issue and I believe it were all games that run on unity, maybe that's useful to know.
  
  Is the Home Environment having any issues?
  No didn't notice anything, and vibrations also work when I'm on the dashboard in vr.
  
  I hope the answers are helpful and if there's anything I can do as a test, or to rule something out, let me know.

Hello again Lime98. Thanks for giving us more insight on the issue. It looks like the next best thing for us to do would be to try unpairing and repairing the controllers to the headet. Directions are below and a reference link is here.

To pair your Touch controllers:

Make sure your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Quest mobile app on your phone.

Tap the image of your device in the top left corner of the Meta Quest mobile app.

Tap Headset Settings.

Tap Controllers.

Tap + Pair New Controller.

Choose which controller you'd like to pair.

Press and hold the / and buttons on your right controller or and on your left controller until the controller LED blinks and then lights up to finalize the pairing.

Once you've paired your controllers, the controllers will automatically connect to your headset each time you turn it on, if it's nearby.

To unpair your controllers:

Make sure your headset is turned on, then open the Meta Quest mobile app on your phone.

Tap Menu in the bottom right corner of the Meta Quest mobile app.

Tap Devices.

Tap Headset Settings, then tap Controllers.

Tap the controller that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair Controller.

if this option does not work, it looks like our next thing to do would be a factory reset the device. But, let us know if this options works first. Looking forward to your response.

  I can't seem to unpair the touch controllers via the mobile app, I'm guessing the rift S can't even connect that way but maybe it's broken for me. Anyways I did the un- and repairing process via the desktop app but it did nothing for me sadly.

    Thanks for applying the steps we suggested Lime98. So, it looks like we're going to need to do a factory reset of the device, mainly if the issue is happening with more games than Beat Saber. If this sin't the case, we suggest visting the developer website or forums for info related to Beat Saber haptic feedback issues. If you choose to factory reset with no avail and the issue you're experiencing is happening with mutiple games, we can definitley explore replacement options for your controllers if you wish to go that route.   This is not a problem users need to fix - this is a problem Meta needs to fix. Meta destroyed (OpenXR) Rift CV1 Touch controller tracking with the latest v66 update - everything was working perfectly before. Both Unity and Unreal Engine games are affected.
  
  So do get this fixed asap with a new software update, thank you - with sugar on top.
  
  Note the controllers are working fine in games supporting native Oculus drivers, it only seems to affect OpenXR drivers.

I think, there is some misunderstood🙂

Lime98 is talking about the Rift S.....there is no factory reset he can do.

My Rift S controllers are no longer giving haptic feedback for Beat Saber, on both the Steam and Oculus versions. This only happened immediately after the most recent update was installed

And many other people are having the same issue despite all suggested fixes so I'm inclined to believe this issue is related to the update

  Hey there galaxyofmoses! We'd curious whether you're experiencing a loss of haptic feedback on other/any apps, or just Beat Saber? If it's only Beat Saber, we recommend using reaching out on the game's Support page! It's possible the next update may include a fix, so please relay your feedback!

    In my case it's definitely on multiple games, so I'm guessing this is the case for galaxyofmoses too? It can't be a coincidence that this happened suddenly to a lot of people after an update, and all are on a rift S...

  I can confirm, it is definitely after the last Meta update. Beat Saber on my Oculus Rift S also has no haptic feedback!

Maybe I can help and hopefully also receive some help here myself. I may be at least able to narrow this down some.
I have two machines I use for VR and am using an Oculus Rift S.
I noticed my main machine suddenly lost controller haptics for Beat Saber this or last week. I tried all the usual fixes as mentioned above; Changing USB port, reinstalling Beat Saber, -vrmode oculus, replacing batteries, changing Beat Saber version, etc. Nothing helps.
The controller haptics work fine on other games. It's just Beat Saber there's nothing there for.
In the end I tested it was still functioning on my secondary PC and it was fine, so I relocated it and played for an hour or so with no issue.
I went to play the game just a few hours later and was blocked from doing so because the Oculus/Meta software needed to update first. It did, and now that PC is in the same boat too! No haptics in Beat Saber!
So it seems there's definitely an issue with the latest version of the software causing this issue. Is there any way to roll back the 'Meta Quest Link' software to a previous version? The game is unplayable without the feedback as far as I am concerned.
This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

  I am experiencing the same issue.
  I have no haptic controller feedback on my Rift S in Beat Saber (Steam Version). Even after starting it directly in the Meta Oculus App.
  Other games on Steam are working fine though.

Even after a fresh install, with no mods, the issues persisted. So it seems to not be mod related.

This should definitely be fixed by the Meta folks, it's after their update. There is no point in trying this or that individually when it has happened to a bunch of people. Nobody from Meta plays Beat Saber on the Oculus Rift S, so they have to keep asking stupid questions?? I get pretty mad at them when they screw up something that works and they can't put it together in a few days.

    I think they disrupted a lot of people's regime. For example, I used to play Beat Saber every day and it doesn't work with feedback, so I'm annoyed. Or was it the intention to get everyone from the Rift to the new models. But I'm used to playing with these controllers and I don't want to change to a new model to have to adapt to a different one. I am a conservative person and I don't like to change habits. Above all, someone from them should comment on this and not hide behind a beech and at least give information that they are working on it.

    I can confirm it's not only in Beat saber though, and I'm not the only one saying that. I'm not sure if it's every game but definitely more than just beat saber.
    Edit: And 99% of people say it's after a specific update which, to me, means it was the update that caused some kind of issue and thus an update is needed to fix the issue too

But it's your update that has broken this.
It seems you must have changed something to cause this, no?
And if we had the power to roll back to v65, we would.
But for some reason you don't allow this, so now we're stuck with a broken game!
Don't get me wrong, I'll raise it with them too. But the lack of responsibility is shocking.
