I have a Link cable and the port I was using started detecting at USB2, only for the quest. I switched to another port (next to it on same controller) and it connects again on USB3. Never got to a root cause yet since switching to other port on same USB controller resolved the problem.
Cable speed at USB2 peaks around 360 MB/s where when on USB 3 I get 2.4 GB/s on the USB connection test in the oculus software. Laptop users may not have as ready a means to switch ports. The port it originally worked with USB 3 on, has a USB SSD that connects as USB3 without a problem. Weird issue to pop up.
