This usually means the Meta Horizon Link app is stuck in a bad pairing state.
Try this:
- Fully close the Meta Horizon Link app (end it in Task Manager)
- Restart both your PC and Quest 2
- Make sure both are on the same network
- Log out and back into the PC app
If that doesn’t fix it, uninstall and reinstall the Meta Horizon Link app, that often resolves the missing pairing code issue.

Are you sure the pairing code dialog on the PC is not hidden behind the app or other windows?
The Link PC app can be affected by browser Native SSO problems, preventing certain pop-up windows from appearing. See this post for troubleshooting steps:

If that doesn't work, the next thing to try is complete uninstallation of the Link PC app as well as manually deleting associated folders. See this post here but note that it is out of date. Newer installations of Link have replaced the file path "Oculus" with "Meta Horizon" or similar:

If deleting and reinstalling the Link app doesn't fix the problem, you might have to use a USB 3 data cable connection instead, or alternatively, use SteamLink instead of AirLink.
