PCVR with Steam not working

I’m thinking I made a big mistake buying the quest 3.  Here’s why….  When I try to connect to Steam, everything is good.  I can play SubSide with no issues.  The games that are causing so much frustration are DCS and Elite Dangerous.  These two games are the only reason I bought a VR headset.  When I try and run these games they show them loading and loading and loading.  It never finishes.

I have a new PC. It’s a Win 11 PC with 32gb ram and a new MSI RTX5070 graphic card.  All drivers and firmware are up to date.  Steam and SteamVR links as well as “Meta Link” are all current.  Same with headset firmware.  I use the META link cable to connect to the PC.  As well, everything runs on Ethernet. No WIFI.

    If you're able to play subside with no issues, but you're having issues with DCS and elite dangerous you might want to contact the developers and see if they can offer any support.

    You could also look in the support areas for those two games in steam because you might have some people there that have experienced issues and could give you a hand.

    The fact that subside is working with no issues would suggest that it's not an issue with your PC and it's not an issue with your Quest 3. What I mean by that if you have one game playing with no issues whatsoever that shows that the hardware is functioning with no problems. Which means the problem you're experiencing is, most likely, those two games.

    Look in the community hub in Steam or google the issue.

      Thank you for your insight.  I will contact both developers.  I also wanted to mention that “Left for Dead”,  Left for Dead 2,  IL-2, and Assetto Corsa are not showing up when I enter steamvr.  Is this because they are not vr games?

        Correct, they won't show up because they aren't seen as a VR game.
