Thank you! I've been having this exact issue today!
I used to have an ovulus account and app and never had any issues, but I hadn't used my headset in a couple of years so unfortunately lost my account (pain in the arse Facebook/Meta).
Anyway I'm glad to finally know what the issue is and potentially fix it myself. But I wonder why they recognise the Q1 on yhd current app software and have renders of it etc if it's not supported? And why on earth doesn't it tell you it's no longer supported in current versions!?
Anyway I'm off to try the fix!

Maybe because Meta doesn't know it?😅
I think, devices that aren't supported anymore just fall over the edge of engenieers view and they don't even recognize that the setup of the Quest 1 no longer works.
Luckily, there are smart people outside finding workarounds like this one.
