Quest 2 No longer works with Air link

I've had my quest 2 for about 4 years, and have always been able to Air Link, I recently moved in with my boyfriend, he uses Air Link with his Quest 3, he isn't struggling with AirLink. My oculus Recognizes my PC as I'm able to 'remote desktop' but when I use air link it can't find my PC. I've reset everything, deleted and redownload the oculus app, and still nothing. What's going on?

  • Hard to say but it could be due to your boyfriend's router setup and settings.  You need to be using a dedicated 5Ghz wifi channel.  If he is using his Q3 with wifi6e 6Ghz then this may be a problem and, depending on the router, he may need to have you both on 5Ghz.  I guess if you already had a good router that worked previously you may be able to use that separately that you were using your own PC.

Also, before starting up Air Link make sure to pair your headset and confirm the code on the meta-link app.  Go to quick settings/setings/link and check that everything on this panel refreshes to all in the green.

Sorry, all I can think of right now.  If you need further help I suggest you contact meta support including your log files (google how to do this).  Good luck mate and cheers.
