Quest 3 & Pro controllers stuck at 0% updating

0% update forever on both PRO controllers that are already sync with a quest 3 headset

What I had done..

Pair them again and again the Q3 got them paired all the time
Hard reset on controllers
Factory reset on Q3 headset (even that involves a huge waste of time)

V64 is the version of the software of my Q3
Nothing worked so far in other post I saw that randomly people finally got this controllers working what was not my situation

Support on chat after we try it everything  ask me to send the pro controllers back what I already did  (I already did all that support was asking for but for respect the support guy time I follow all what he asked for "maybe it works this time by a chance").
As I see this issue as very common I want to know what is going on for PRO controllers, Q3 is perfect for me for work as I use them as tool, but for play even vs Q2 the tracking of quest3 is inferior by a lot.

If there is no proper solution for this I see no point in order another controllers or even keep the quest 3.

    Hello there! We know having the controllers not work as they should greatly hinders the VR experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to team up with you to explore a resolution. So we can start marking some things off the list. Let's have you try and factory reset the controllers. To factory reset the Pro controllers, please try the following:

    • Right Controller: Hold A and Oculus buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
      • Left Controller: Hold X and Menu buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
    • Release the buttons immediately after the LED begins blinking red/white.
    • Perform a manual pairing and check if controller LED would flash blue and white to signal pairing state.
    • Once paired, controllers may take a while to update and stay unresponsive until they finish, and LED would be purple during the update.

    Same issue here, bought the pro controllers today and trying to get them to work... no chance, doesn't matter what I try, they're stuck at 0%. Bit of a joke that this is a known issue for YEARS at this price tag. It's not a firmware issue either, I kept my firmware at v63.

      We are still having the same issue with ours. At that price it should work right or at least just work.

    have the same issue with my right controller for quest 3
    its stuck 33% when update, and the failed
    now my controller is blink SOS

      Press the meta button,and the A button, at the same time,  until the controller starts to blink red and white then let go. That should reset it.

    I'm facing the same problem, my left controller freezes at 66%. I have already tried all the methods that were on the forum, nothing helped. And what should I do?😥

    Are we potentially just waiting for a new firmware update in order to fix this issue? As others have stated, I’ve tried every technical support help tip multiple times on my own and through meta support. I’m still looking at the left and right pro controller unable to get past 0% on the update.

    I received my Quest Pro controllers yesterday and I'm having the same problem, I've spent more than 8 hours trying to fix the problem, but I can't get it to update.
     
    I've done all the steps that have been mentioned in the forums about this topic:
    • Controller Factory reset.
    • Un pair and pair again (more thatn 20 tiemes)
    • Update de phone app, and try again. 
    • I've left it all night doing the update without succes
    •  

    I have tried to pair it with my old quest 2 to see if I could do it and it doesn't do the update.

      The problem was solved in the latest update of the Quest 3.
       
      This version was not made available until I wanted to open a bug report from the glasses themselves.

      I have the same issue - my advice is to get onto social media and name and shame also product review sites like trustpilot and productreview - meta will not change anything till there is a class action against them

      So what i did,was use my wifes meta 3,she has the 128 gb i have the 512gb or whatever it is. So i had done all the steps as well,factory reset ,reset controllers ,. Uninstalled meta link,whatever i could think of. Then i added my account through an invitation from my wife,i hoped on her headset, had to verify yadda yadda,then i paired her headset to my phone app,and with my account logged in  i paired the left controller first,and at first i thought it wasnt working but the screen flickered and as if it diddnt want to...it updated,slowly mind you,but it did. In the app,it was saying my controller was still updating but it had finished,so then i held the power button on the headset until it restarted itself. Meaning it shut off i continue to hold power until it powers on again . I then went back paired the right doing the exact same thing .only this time i shut the app and when my wifes headset powered on i removed my account,paired her controllers back and then went back to my headset and paired the pros which like i said seemed like they were really fighting not to work but after i paired them i again hold the power to cycle a restart and it worked

        I pretty much did the power cycle after each step, even when adding my account, power cycle headset and close /reopen app.

    I had the same issue with my brand new Pro controllers, tried everything but could not get them to update.  I worked with Meta support for an hour or so, after which they gave me an RMA, but I spent some more time later last night, in the process of which I disabled PTC - which forced a factory reset on the headset.

    Once it did reset itself, it immediately started updating the controller - so thankfully I now have the two pro controllers connected and working.  I did note that the controllers did go through multiple firmware update cycles (at least two).

    I would expect that with the RMA they would probably return controllers that already have the firmware update - and would maybe actually fix the issue with the Quest 3 not being able to update the firmware correctly.

    It's unfortunate that simply pairing new controllers requires an entire factory reset - but at least I now have them working (and they are definitely worth it for Beat Saber).

    I am using a Quest 2, I have found tricks from various forums.. nothing has changed. Updated left and right stuck at 0%

    yeah about to refund shame they don't even know how to make their own product work, one guy told pro controllers don't work on quest 3 after i had already told him my old headset hooked them up and if so why are they own the store page for quest pro 2 and 3.
