Hey there rod_cas_bike!
We came across your comment on this post and wanted to lend a helping hand to get your audio back up-and-running!
Firstly, please check the Meta Quest Link app settings to make sure your headset is selected as the audio source:
- Open the Meta Quest Link app on your computer
- Select Devices in the left menu and then click Rift / Rift S
- Below Audio, check to make sure Rift / Rift S Headset is selected and that the audio slider is not muted, or set all the way to the left
It seems super obvious, but please also check to make sure the sound of your computer is turned up and not set to 0!
It's possible that your headset needs a software update - check to see if there are any updates available by opening the Meta Quest Link app on your computer and selecting 'Library' in the left menu and clicking 'Updates' to check for updates. You can also use our nifty software update tool here to sideload the update to your Quest!
We would advise that you use the official Meta Link cable as third-party cables are not always the correct specifications. If you're using an official cable, try re-seating the cable in your PC or use a different USB port. Also, if the issue is affecting the headset and the PC audio, try running the Windows Audio Troubleshooter.
If none of the above steps work, try restarting your computer and reinstalling the Meta Quest Link app.
If the issue persists, we'd really appreciate if you could submit a bug report with as much detail as possible about the issue, and get in touch with us via PM by selecting our name, navigating to our profile and clicking 'Send a Message'!
Good luck and happy gaming!
