Quest 3 Link once more unusable with latest Link update

It has been quite a bumpy ride the last few months. I was just being able to play iRacing again for about 2 days until the Link software got updated this morning. 
is there any way to revert to the state of before?

This is really unusable right now

it has been just working for the last year, and then it really stopped working the past few months.

I am using the original link cable, I have used others in the past, that alleviated some of the problems, but today it’s no use.

can anybody can share some more useful tips than to keep restarting, or keeping drivers up to date. It certainly feels to generate more problems than to solve them.
