Quest 3 NOT pairing or being detected.

Quest 3 is not being detected. (No device found) on the Meta PC App, The Meta Link is NOT detecting the Quest 3 in cable or Air Mode.  Steam VR is not detecting the Quest 3 VR either. Although, I am able to use Virtual Desktop Streamer, which detects the PC. Also, I have loads of small windows in standalone and PC mode saying updating the controllers, a few windows, close but about 10 windows stay open. About time that Meta got its software to work properly, it seems it works for a time, then turns rubbish.  I am fed up with this VR headset, more hassle than its worth!

    Hi there Eurostar27,

We came across your post, and would love to lend a hand to get you back exploring PCVR!

Here is some troubleshooting to try out, to see if they help:

    1. Make sure you are connecting your Link Cable to the right type of port. (Quest via Link connects via USB-C 3.0)
    2. Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements to run the Meta Quest Link app.
    3. Whitelist the Meta Quest Link app in their antivirus/firewall program.
    4. Is an adapter or cable extender being used? If possible, remove any adapters from the headset.
    5. Link does not support the use of multiple dedicated graphics cards. If you have a CrossFire or an SLI configuration, please remove one of the graphics cards. The headset and primary monitor must be connected to the same dedicated graphics card.
    6. Although some graphics cards can support multiple monitors, the Rift/Link can potentially experience issues if more than one monitor is connected. The only fully supported configuration is to have the headset and one monitor plugged in. If you are using 2 or more monitors or displays of any kind, please unplug the extras.

    1. Try reseating the cable on both the headset side and the side that plugs into the GPU and inspect it for damage such as bent pins, frays, twists, kinks, etc.
    2. If you are able to hear the home environment's sounds this could be a sign you need to update your GPU's Drivers.
    3. Disconnect any unnecessary USB devices (everything but the headset, keyboard, and mouse) and try the headset in another USB 3.0 port.
    4. Try the headset on another computer if possible.

If you are still unable to connect with your headset, please send us a private message so we can look into this further with you.
