Quest 3 right controller won’t wake up

I was playing gorilla tag on my quest 3 and everything was working fine then I put the headset and controllers on the official quest 3 charging dock and a couple hours later when I was going to play vr again I noticed my right touch plus controller not waking up and the headset displayed a message saying “ right controller not connected press any button to wake it up” and I tried replacing the batteries but that didn’t help, then I tried rebooting the headset and it still didn’t work. but when I put the controller on the charging dock it lights up on the charging light on the dock so the controller is clearly being recognized the the dock and is receiving power. this is very weird. Is there anything I can try to get it to wake up and connect?

    Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect power, battery fit, or controller detection. For example, rechargeable grips, controller covers, etc.
    • Try Unpairing and Pairing your controller to your headset again.
    • Try rebooting your headset.

  • I took the batteries out for 30 seconds and that worked

  • Ok it’s been a few weeks and the issue has come back  and I tried what I did last time and the controller is still not working
