Quest 3s pairing issues

when i try to link it to my pc with a cable it sometimes takes 10+ minutes sometimes doesnt connect at all sometimes it says pc disconnected while connecting or sometimes it connects but no app on the pc works i tried numerous different cables my drivers are updated the ap pis updated i tried redownloading everything its practically unplayable now it takes 2 to 3 hours to get it to working

    We came across your post and we wanted to give you a hand with your situation. We understand you are having issues to pair your Quest 3s to your computer using the Meta Link app since it takes too long to connect properly even after updating and reinstalling the app multiple times. One of the possible roots to this issue could be the configuration of your Antivirus/Firewall that could be preventing your Meta device to communicate with our servers. 

     

    One of the possible solutions would be adding the the Meta Link App to your antivirus exceptions. Please, find attached our public guide on this subject by click here: Troubleshoot antivirus blockage.

  • I have a similar problem

    My meta quest link takes about 5 minutes to launch, it has been doing this since earlier this year I even tried wiping my computer and reinstall everything fresh to try and fix it with no luck. I did find a temporary solution, I opened the computer services and restarted "Oculus VR Runtime Service" before starting Oculus Link from the headset. Oculus link will work normal after until I turn off the computer, next time I want to use Oculus link I would have to go back into services and restart it again.

    I am using windows 11, Quest 3 headset
