Quest Pro controllers jumpy / not tracking properly (a diary of my plight)

Final update: I had to factory reset my headset to get my controllers to track properly again. Unfortunately the headset OS updated and now the game I play, Breachers, crashes on startup on my Quest 2. That's me done with VR.

Trying to play some Breachers today, as is normal I have to restart my headset 5 or 6 times to get the Quest Pro controllers to track correctly with my Quest 2 headset, sometimes they stay in a static position and this seems to reset the connection to get it to work.

However today is especially worse, they randomly move their tracking positions about 4 inches every few seconds and then move back again, as you can imagine, if you're trying to aim a gun in VR it makes it pretty much impossible.

After about 45 minutes of repairing, restarting and restarting the headset I've given up and come to the forums to complain. It's so frustrating when you want to pick up your headset and play a game for 30 minutes but you have to fiddle around first, this time it was completely unresolvable.

  • Signing off with a bust controller.

Tracking wouldn't work, tried to unpair and repair but my option button had stopped working.

Tried to pop off the top to see if there was any dust blocking it, broke it.

    The end.
