Quest Pro won't link after last update

It's on the latest firmware.  Meta Quest Link software was updated yesterday.  Haven't used it for a week.  Worked fine for several weeks. Tried it today and could not get it to link in spite of numerous headset and computer reboots.  Tried disconnecting headset, rebooting computer, rebooting headset, reconnecting headset, tried a couple of times -- no joy. Tried several different USB ports, tried a different cable (the official Meta cable), no luck. I guess a firmware or software update broke it, again. Mega frustrating.

  • Nick-of-Time  My QPro is working fine with the latest non-beta v79 updates (QPro and PC meta-link).  I suggest you try reinstalling your meta-link drivers like so;

    Manually Run the Oculus Driver:
    Close the Meta Quest Link app completely.
    Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
    Enter the driver file path: C:\\Program Files\\Oculus\\Support\\oculus-drivers (this path may vary depending on your installation).
    Find and open the oculus-driver.exe file.
    Relaunch the Meta Quest Link app and try connecting your headset again.

    This often works for me.  Otherwise, contact meta support including your log file and see if they can help.  Good luck mate and cheers.

  • It’s the same for me. My Meta Quest 3S is recognized as a USB drive, but the Quest drivers don’t detect the device. I’ve tried every tip I could find online: manual driver installation, uninstalling and reinstalling the Link app, adjusting the USB port power settings. Nothing worked. Please, Meta – provide a solution. This is no fun!

      1. Hardware Checks:

      First things first! Just make sure to check out the recommended specs for Windows PC requirements to use Meta Quest Link.

      • Ensure that the official Meta Quest Link cable is not damaged.

      2. Air Link:

      If you are using Link, ensure that Air Link is turned off in your headset settings.

      3- Disable any firewall or antivirus software that may interfere with your Link connection.

      Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software as this might be interfering with the connection.
