Right Controller keeps disconnecting.

Hi, 

my sons Quest 3s right controller keeps disappearing and reappearing in the VR world. I was stuck on the 0% update for a day and managed to get passed that stage but now even though it is paired and the buttons work it struggles to appear on screen. When it does it goes off within 10 minutes. I have factory reset the device and also changed battery. Paired and unpaired lots of times. Has anyone got and advice please?
