Right controller won't work.

Question

Hey everyone I'm in desperate need of some help here please.

So bought the quest 3 for my daughter and for the last week she told me her right controller won't work. I've tried everything iv read online unpairing it and repairing but when I press the 2 buttons nothing happens...no light flash no vibration. On the app all I says its that the firmware is updating but I never get passed that screen. I think the only thing left for me to do would be to factory reset the whole device and see if that works but ready a previous post I found that never solved it.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated thanks

Have you tried if taking out the battery for 15 - 30 min - maybe even for a day - to reset the controller can solve your problem?

I haven't but I have taken the battery out now. So will try again shortly. Thank you&nbsp;

It might seem obvious, but I've seen worse in these forums... have you... tried replacing the battery with a fresh one or made sure they are inserted correctly?
Another possible issue is that one of the spring-loaded battery contacts has gotten stuck and is not contacting the battery. You can try using a bit of folded aluminium foil, like in these posts:

a couple of things come to mind.is your system under warranty ?have you tried to un-pair and re-pair your controllers ?have you tried to trouble shoot through your meta app ?if a factory reset is required it's very easy and quick as well.

1 yes it was a Christmas present for her so its only 3 months old

2 yea i can but only wen it pairs it says firmware update and it just sticks on that on the app and I get update failed on the headset when its trying to pair/update firmware

3 yea it pretty much comes up with what everyone else says on here ie replace battery,unpair/pair the controller,hard reset on headset which i have tried all but no joy.

4 yea I've not done that yet but seen others saying it never made a difference and still had the same issue so haven't attempted that yet as problem will likely still be there.
