Stream Meta Quest 2 to Apple TV without iPhone?

Hello there,

I am a new user of the Meta Quest 2. Is there a way to directly stream to an Apple TV without having to first stream to the meta quest mobile app on my iPhone and then use screen mirroring? It's especially complicated if you already have the headset on and quickly want to screen cast to the TV. 

The Apple TV is connected to the same wifi network and airplay is turned on too. Unfortunately, it doesn't finds the Apple TV under the list of available devices shown to my headset.

    Hi there wibemueller, we see you have an inquiry about casting with Apple TV. Being able to cast directly to cast directly to a TV can be very convenient, and we understand you are looking for information on how to do so. We would love to provide you more information regarding casting!

     

    We want to let you know that to cast to aTV or device, it must support Chromecast. If it's not supported, you can cast to your phone's Meta Quest app.

      Why do you only support Chromecast? Are there plans to support Apple TV in the future? Kind regards.

        Hey there wibemueller! We certainly understand how eager you are to start casting on other devices, such as an Apple TV. As of now, the Meta Quest products are only compatible to cast with Chromecast or through the Meta Quest app directly. As we grow and expand, we'll be sure to keep the community up to date with any new casting features!
