Stuck on air link meta loading screen

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Re-Pairing Air Link
   • Air Link issues can sometimes be resolved by completely disabling the functionality on the Quest. To ensure the process is completed properly, use these steps:
     1. In the Quest headset, navigate to the Settings menu
     2. Ensure "Air Link" is disabled/toggled off
     3. Restart both the Quest and the PC, and re-pair the Quest to the PC following the set-up steps here - Set up and connect Meta Quest Link and Air Link
2. Hard Reboot, Restart PC, Restart Router
   • Restart your devices, restart the router, then the PC, and finally the Meta Quest in this order.
3. Try other Wi-Fi Connections
   • Check if the headset has any Wi-Fi issues outside of Air Link. For example, downloading an app from the Meta Quest Store.
     • If non-Air Link Wi-Fi issues exist, let us know and we can focus on this.
     • If your headset does not have any Wi-Fi issues outside of Air Link - if possible, try with another PC, another location, or another network.

If these steps don't wriggle the problem loose, let us know and we can take a deeper dive!

It might just be the entire system of meta, Because it isn't working for me Aswell

Same issue for me... Just started today 1/18/2026. This is a meta problem. I factory reset headset, EVEN RESET MY PC - reinstalled windows etc... good god I wasted so much time on this.

I also did the same factory reset, same 😭😆with my laptop it was frustrating. Is it happening in quest 3 only or any other meta quest’s (quest 2, 3s, pro) ? 

I think I found a workaround. Try blocking OculusDash.exe in Windows Firewall:

1) Open "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security"

2) Click "Outbound Rules" (left panel)

3) Click "New Rule..." (right panel)

4) Select "Program" > Next

5) Select "This program path" > Browse...

6) Choose OculusDash.exe (path may vary). Common path:

C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-dash\dash\bin\OculusDash.exe

7) Next > "Block the connection"

8) Next > check Domain + Private + Public

9) Name it: Block OculusDash Outbound > Finish

Undo after testing:

Outbound Rules > Block OculusDash Outbound > right-click > Disable Rule (or Delete)

Leave it enabled only if it fixes the issue and you're okay with some Link/Dash features being limited.

If someone comes up with better solution let us know.

I am having the same issue with the cable. The cable tests good. I have tried to do the disabling of the internet on the PC and then connecting to the link and it does not work. The firewall rule below does not work for me. I cannot get Air or wired to work. There are several videos on YouTube mentioning this problem. Is this something that has been escalated already?
