The controller failed to update the firmware, resulting in its inability to be used.(Quest Pro)

Just two weeks ago, my two controllers encountered an error where they couldn't update their firmware. Inside the VR headset, it displayed "Controller firmware update failed," and in the settings, it showed "Controller not connected," making both controllers unusable. To get them working again, I used the "Meta Horizon" app to unpair the controllers and then re-paired them. However, most of the time, it would show "Controller firmware update in progress" and then just keep loading indefinitely. After many attempts, occasionally the VR headset would connect to the controllers, but it still showed the firmware update failure. Moreover, if I restarted the VR headset, the controllers would return to the disconnected state. On my "Meta Horizon" app, it would show that the controllers were all right, but they still couldn't be used.

  • I don't know why, but during the process of repeatedly unpairing and repairing today, the firmware of my right controller was successfully updated and it's now working properly. However, the left controller still fails to update its firmware as usual. I wonder what the reason could be???😫

      Hey aqt353847365,

We can see you're having trouble updating the firmware on your left Quest Pro controller. We know how important working controllers are for Pro-level gaming, so we're here to lend a hand!

      - Are you using official Quest Pro controllers?
      - If you have any attached, please remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect the controller's connection. For example, controller covers, controller attachments, etc.
      - Please remove the batteries for 30 minutes and, if that doesn't work, try new batteries.
      - Are you using a Secured Network, or an open/unrestricted network when updating?
      - If there's one available, can you try another network?

I have the same problem plz help me

  • I’m having somewhat of a similar issue though my firmware is update. After the last update my right controller has gone hay wire. I’ll be playing a game, click the button to bring navigator up and am unable to right click on anything. Setting the controller down for a few minutes and picking it back up temporarily alleviates the issue. The controller also seems to work fine playing video games, but this morning I was playing breachers and my character was going prone without me clicking on the thumb sticks. I don’t think there’s necessarily anything wrong with the controller itself since I’m able to play games with it. It’s just really bothersome to have to be stuck playing a game or restart my headset just to be able to click around a menu for 5 minutes.  The only visual observation I can make is that the white beam from my right controller goes blue and stays blue.

I should also mentioned that I’ve replaced the batteries and repaired the controller to no avail. I feel like I’m stuck.
