Venting. Trying to use the Meta Quest Link software on Windows 11 with the Meta Quest 3 and a USB cable is a horrible experience. Meta should be embarrassed and they should fire whoever is in charge of Windows application development.
The application sometimes takes minutes to load and is so erratic when it comes to actually connecting to the headset, which often gets stuck on the black screen when connecting to the PC.

I appreciate your response and this link. Having said that, meta should not be making us beta testers and I should not have to provide them this information before their software works. It’s utterly absurd a software company this large cannot create a reliable Windows application. The only conclusion I can draw is that they don’t care.
I could not even install the Meta Quest Link app on my windows 11 pc for 2 days !!
And to top it off there is no one to complain to apparently. Been scouring the web for a solution but seems to be re-occuring problem on intervals. Found people debating on the topic 3 months ago, 1 year ago etc. All of their problems seems to be solved in a week or so. But i just gut the product to use as a working tool because of the injuries i had recently. But seems impossible.
if only pcvr side was terrible, it is literally trash on every software angle when it comes to their vr, probably rest of the "brilliantly codded" stuff too but i never used it and never will, everything from the phone app that u are FORCED to login to at the very least once to the goddamn updates that BREAK THINGS more often than not, v79 for example broke usb connectivity completely for me and hundreds of others and that's just one of the recent screw ups, it is comically bad, there's no way they aint doing it on purpose
So many people are frustrated by the problems with PCVR connectivity I'm glad I only use on board games and apps. The stress would turn an enjoyable experience into a stressful nightmare. I hope it's not on purpose though, I think users need to have the option to play on PCVR. I hope they fix it for you and everyone else. 🤞🤞
I have a similar problem
My meta quest link takes about 5 minutes to launch, it has been doing this since earlier this year I even tried wiping my computer and reinstall everything fresh to try and fix it with no luck. I did find a temporary solution, I opened the computer services and restarted "Oculus VR Runtime Service" before starting Oculus Link from the headset. Oculus link will work normal after until I turn off the computer, next time I want to use Oculus link I would have to go back into services and restart it again.
