Im trying to get my moms old quest 2 to connect to a new Facebook account. I have signed in on mine as it was already on the device but the original admin account was lost.

You need to factory reset the Quest in order to make another account the admin.
How to factory reset your Meta Quest
It will erease all data and games from the old admin account from the headset and the Quest can be set up with another account, e.g. yours.
One thing.....it's not necessary to connect a Meta account to a Facebook account, and in my opinion it's better to let them seperated..... but that's up to you. 😉
