Why can't I cast my Meta Quest 3 to my Roku Tv?

For some reason when I go to try and cast my Meta Quest 3 headset to my tv, it only picks up 2 other TV's and a computer.  There is no "look for other devices" button so it just won't let me connec...

I haven't been able to connect through my phone but I can use webcast to connect my quest to a browser window on my mac, and then screen mirror my mac to my Roku TV

We saw your post and wanted to lend a hand!

 

Experiencing issues when you can't connect your Meta headset to your phone to allow you to cast to a TV can be far from ideal, especially when you've just got home after a long day and all you want to do is to sit back and relax while playing some of your favorite games! We would love to provide you with the assistance needed to get you back into the Metaverse and to do so we ask that you please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

 

1. Make sure both your phone and Meta headset are connected to the same Wi-Fi.

  • Reminder: Casting directly to a Chromecast device or TV is not fully supported by Meta and may not work with some Chromecast devices or TVs. Meta does not have a list of which devices or TVs will or will not work.

2. Please verify that both your Meta Horizon app and your Headset are both logged in to the same account.

 

3. Cast with another phone.

 

As soon as you've attempted the steps above please let us know if they worked or if they haven't worked.
