Why is it so hard to have Win Explorer access

Have done a lovely screen recording I want to share with the world. I need to edit this first. So I would like to use my common desktop NLE Davinci Resolve to edit the video before posting.

Previously I was able to move files around but this seems to have vanished now, looking at my Quest2 with developer access, Win11.

Where has it gone? No notification, no icons.

Tried virtual desktop, Meta Horizon Link, cable, wifi, Meta Remote Desktop,

Tried sharing, downloading, cloud storage, for frustrating hours this shouldn't be so hard.

Can't even get Sidequest desktop app to detect my headset anymore

What's going on here? Why is this so hard???

    Have managed to download to the iphone through the app. But there, it goes nowhere. Paired with my gmail drive, but cannot upload. What, really? Give all permissions, only to read?? What happened to 'sharing'. Will not save into my iphone photos or files. I can share a link but this this is hopeless as its just a whacky file ‘File001’ with a bunch of code and not a valid html link.       Point is, I didn’t really want to / need to upload that to a cloud account to begin with. Not only is that cumbersome and round-about, but it also burns a lot of fossil fuel, anergy, internet traffic, without any need.  And I am surprised to see this uploaded to my meta account without my explicit permission. If memory serves me right, I pressed ‘download’ to get it onto the phone which I thought was my last resort

        So where from here? I want to show novel 3DGS pathways to GraciaAi into headset. This is probably just as exciting as scanning a room with Quest3. What am I missing, why is this so difficult?

      That's probably the video itself, so you need to save it to your PC, not open it in your browser.

        Yeah nah, don’t think so Steve, it doesn’t even have a valid video file extension such as .mp4 or similar, plus it’s tiny

    One more thing, inside the Quest File Browser, I can find the file, I can select <copy> . But paste doesn't get me anywhere. Paste where outside the headset? Since 'Meta Remote Desktop' is pretty useless as you can't use the desktop (huh?), only 'look at it', I'm using 'Virtual Desktop' instead, so I can use Window File Browser, computer, but there's nothing to <Paste>..

      The funny part is, clearly no one but myself is responding to this thread; So this forum really is not working
