Does OpenXR Link work for anyone at the moment?

I've noticed a drop in participation in the forums. I'm frustrated too, but I'm not ready to abandon the Quest platform entirely. I'm just wondering if Link works for any other developers at the moment? 

OpenXR in Unity over Link hasn't worked since November here, and the latest updates have made it progressively worse, to the point where it doesn't even work with the Oculus runtime directly anymore. 

None of my tech support incidents have been answered, they're all "under investigation". And I'm two months behind on product launches. 

Frustrated doesn't quite explain it here. 

I've replaced all of the hardware, all of the headsets, cables, computers, even bought a brand new system and tried installing everything from scratch. 

I'm looking for ANY good news. Just one person who is using OpenXR with Link and Unity, without problems.

    Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear about the tech support incidents and the setbacks with Link. I can completely understand your frustration and wanted to let you know I've escalated your tickets to the product and support teams. We'll keep an eye on the escalation and they should be reaching out to you with more information soon.     Piggybacking off of what h.taylor said, we've filed a support ticket on your behalf. To engage with the ticket, please keep an eye on your email (the email you made this post with) as you should soon be receiving a notification of the ticket's creation. 

    If you run into any issues in the future, I can outline the best process below for how to file a ticket with us.

    1. Navigate to our support page (https://developers.meta.com/horizon/support) and select "Submit a request"
    2. Link your account
    3. Select "New" to file a new support ticket

      First, I sincerely appreciate any help I can get here. I have two products that were supposed to launch at Christmas, both use Link, and currently neither will run in editor or as built apps. Upper management doesn't understand, and there's no real workaround that I can find.

      But second, the case that was created is either internal to you guys or not linked to my account, or something weird. I can't see the case in my open cases, and I can't respond to the email without getting a bounce back. 

      I am willing to do anything, from talking on the phone to letting someone remote into any of my machines, to get past this point.

  • Hi, I'm not a developer, but I'm wondering if you are referring to OpenXR Toolkit? It was abandoned by its developer a year ago.

      That's wild, I had not seen that. However, Meta is recommending using OpenXR instead of OVR now. So that's good, apparently.
