Meta Audio SDK 76.0 Unreal 5.5 - Impossible to bake geometry

I tried the new version 76.0 because it failed with the previous one but I have exactly the same issue.

The plugin doesn't bake the geometry, I have no data when I click on bake

I tried with static mesh actor, Blueprint with static mesh component, set the mesh as a child of the XR geometry or with different mesh and it doesn't change anything.

The acoustic ray tracing in project setting is enabled.

Maybe I miss something but I don't understand what, if someone has any idea?

  • Hello! Sorry for late answer. You definitionally miss something! I remember, there was a step, that requires restart of the editor to get everything working. If you using Unreal's version, maybe you should do this after setting XR Audio as Spatialization and Reverb Plugin in your Project Settings. I recommend you to once again iterate through documentation: https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unreal/meta-xr-acoustic-ray-tracing-unreal-getting-started . I can confirm, that it works on latest 5.5 with FMOD version.

     

  • Thanks for helping and to confirm that plugin works in unreal.

    Unfortunately I had to much issues and I preferred to switch to Wwise with Unreal. Maybe I will try again the plugin later.
