"Unexpected error" on email confirmation step – developer registration stuck for 2+ days

Hi,

I've been trying to register as a Meta for Developers user for two days and I'm stuck at the same step every time. I'm not creating a new account — I'm logging in with an existing Facebook account and going through the developer onboarding at developers.facebook.com.

The flow breaks at the Contact info step, when I click "Confirm email". I get the following error message:

> "Se ha producido un error inesperado. Vuelve a intentarlo más tarde."

> ("An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later.")

**What I've already tried:**

- The Facebook account has been active for years and has a verified email

- Added and verified a phone number

- Enabled two-factor authentication (both Authenticator app and SMS)

- Added a payment method to both Facebook Pay and Meta Pay

- Cleared cookies and browser cache

- Tried in incognito mode

- Tried on mobile browser

None of these have made any difference — the error appears consistently at the same point.

The account meets every requirement I'm aware of. This seems like a backend issue on Meta's side, since nothing I do on my end changes the outcome.

Has anyone managed to resolve this? Is there a way to escalate this to Meta support without already having a developer account?
